Corey joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota in 1996. Corey brings over 27 years of experience in the health care industry, to his role as Senior Leader of New Sales and Strategic Relations. Corey has accountability for the New Sales growth for all Commercial segments at Blue Cross. This includes Small Group, Mid-Market, Large Group, Public Sector and Major Accounts. Corey brings a strategic and consultative approach to the Sales team. He wants his team to focus on the development and implementation of their client prospects objectives around their health plan, pharmacy programs and wellness initiatives. He oversees proper servicing of strategic partners and the distribution channel to ensure satisfaction of Blue Cross clients.
Prior to his role as Senior Leader of New Sales and Strategic Relations Corey has held a number of positions in sales and account management at Blue Cross, including being the leader of Large Group Account Management for more than a decade. His Account Management teams consistently received high marks across the marketplace. He also spent time in roles as a Senior Sales Executive and Principal Account Manager in both Major Accounts and Large Group. Corey has a BA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Corey has served on a number of Boards, including the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha and Pierce Counties, President of both the Red Wing Youth Baseball and Basketball Associations and other local boards in Minnesota. Corey is currently a member of the Blue Cross Consortium Peer-to-Peer Workgroup. Corey and Anne reside in the Twin Cities suburb of Mendota Heights and have 5 kids; Lydia, Teddy, Halle, Brian and Leo. Brian is a former foreign exchange student from South Korea and has become a part of the family.
